Looking further...........Mommy style

No matter how committed you think you are to the Lord, nothing changes your outlook and philosophy of life like becoming a mother. I used to think (pre-Jacob era) that being a parent was about giving a child everything the world has to offer so that they could live the good life. You know that mentality, "My child is going to have all the things I could never have; do all the things I never got to do..........." And now, my sweet baby is almost 3 years old, and all I can think about is how I want Jacob to spend eternity with the Father and how I want him to be a light who shines the love of Jesus to others.

To me, Looking Further is seeing Jacob's future in terms of eternity and knowing that the way Ryan and I raise him will be a huge part of who he becomes...........and I know only God can provide the wisdom needed to accomplish what I hope for Jacob's future.

I don't know exactly what this blog will be.......but I hope it will allow me to reflect on my goals for myself and my family. I hope it will allow people to "keep up" with the Parsons. I hope it will offer encouragement to other moms (I hope other moms will encourage me!!).
